Posted by Last month, we had the chance to meet with the previous pastor we had when we were still living in New York City. He is now retired and is enjoying his retirement. However, even though he has been retired for several years now, and even though we have moved away, we still get regular messages from him, whether a text or a phone call, greeting us on our birthdays, wedding anniversary, and holidays. This tells me that we are still in his thoughts and prayers.
I guess he cannot really retire from pastoring.
When we met this last time around, our pastor friend also gifted us a book. I scanned over the book and read some of its chapters. I plan to re-read and delve deeper in its pages in the near future, for I am not quite there yet.
