Before wearing a mask became a part of our daily lives, thanks to this COVID pandemic, there was a time a few years ago that I wore one to go to a party. No, it was not a mandate from the CDC, but because it was a Masquerade Party. The occasion? It was the 25th anniversary of our graduation from medical school which was held at the Manila Hotel.
While many of the party-goers wore the ho-hum Venetian (carnival) masquerade masks, I came wearing a Darth Vader mask. I really should have brought my lightsaber too.
