One Misty December Morning

One misty December morning,

The fog hanging softly like a veil,

Naked trees stood hushed in a haze,

While silence walks on the driveway trail.

No sunrise to chase away the shadows,

No sunlight to warm the dampen spirit,

As dew and rain cling like teardrops,

Wishing these festive lights would uplift it.
